So you’ve made the decision to go to college. What’s next?  What’s your major? What major will be beneficial to you in the long run?  What is the projected growth for your major?  What’s the salary? How hard will  it be to find a job?

These are just a few of the questions you should have before you embark upon your college journey.

Many students coming out of college this year found themselves in a predicament as they searched for jobs in their major. Some found that the job itself is not all it’s cracked up to be and some found very few  opportunities in certain majors due to limited projected growth.

I always encourage my clients to do their research before embarking on this journey, So what are the best and worst majors for 2016? Forbes.com noted that physical therapy landed in the top five occupations with entry-level salary around 71, 000 while criminal justice is number one for the worst masters degree in 2016 with entry-level pay average at 41,000 with only a 7% job growth projection and medium job satisfaction. For more on the best and worst majors for 2016.
